The day was Saturday 29th October, 2016 when we departed to Namungalwe  in Iganga District Eastern part of Uganda for a medical camp in accordance to the Rotary Family Health Days.

The meeting point for departure was at the Victoria tiles centre, Lugogo by pass and the time was 6:00am when vans hit the road for Iganga.

The team included 20 Rotarators of which 3 were from UICT, 5 from Buganda Royal and 12 from the Rotaract Club of Kampala North  all sponsored by Rotary Kampala North. Rotarians were also in attendance, 6 were from the Rotary Club Kampala North and 2 from Kampala city makerere and  3 guests.

The Health Medical team comprised of 3 doctors, 6 dentists, 4 Nutritionists, 3 Nurses and 1 counselor all from Kampala. A Team of 15 Health Workers of Namungalwe Health Centre 3 were already stationed at the centre ready to serve humanity.
This delegation team was led by club president Rtn. Nakanjjako Njeri and chair organising committee Rtn.Deo Sssekimpi and by 12:30 pm the vans reached the venue and the teams all donned in branded rotary t-shits  received a warm welcome from at the Namungalwe health center 3 personnel and straight away service started. The community people turned up in large numbers thanks to the works of the village health team
The services carried out included General body check up, Checking Hypertension,Obesity,Diabetes,Nutrition education,Screening for Cancerof Cervix , measuring of weight and height,Dental and Eye care services,to mention but a few

Volunteers  and doctors were offered with either a meal or a snack with a drink for lunch.
Camp closed at about 6:00pm and the vans left Iganga en route back to Kampala.
